You may be able to avoid getting injured by properly warming up. You're more prone to strain or pull something while dancing if your muscles aren't warmed up.

You can also psychologically get ready for dancing by thoroughly warming up before dancing. Your body and mind will be prepared to dance if you make it a practice to warm up in advance. You'll position yourself for a long and healthy habit of dancing by being attentive to your warmup program. Whether it's before a lesson, audition, competition, or performance, a properly executed warmup will get your body ready for the activities to come.

You can get ready for the physical and mental strain the forthcoming lesson will need of you by warming up. An efficient warm-up speeds up your heart rate and gets your blood flowing, lowering your risk of injury.
