Speechwriting

The act of writing something that is often intended to be delivered to a large audience is called speech writing. Writing a speech is similar to writing an essay in that it aims to persuade the reader of a particular point of view or to make a public statement. This does not mean that all speeches are written in exactly the same way. People give a variety of speeches, including some that are political, others that are educational, and some that may be public addresses. Each form of speech has a specific style of writing.
