How do you start keyword research?
01 December 2022 By papmall®
Researchers start the keyword research based on 2 pieces of advice:
Piece 1: Browse and use the website for at least a couple of hours, noting any terms that may be relevant.
Piece 2: Send a first "SEO keyword discovery questionnaire" to the client or primary stakeholder, inquiring about things such as:
- A list of the company's goals.
- Are the seasons having an impact on your business or traffic? Is the content or product/service offered on the website seasonal?
- Make a list of the keywords that you believe are most important to your business goals.
- Are you planning to introduce or discontinue new products, services, or content categories?
- List your target audiences.
- List your main rivals.
- What geographic locations do you service?
- Consider conducting interviews with marketing managers, salespeople, product specialists, or even prospective customers to learn how people refer to a product or service and what problems users are trying to solve by visiting the website.
